Ontario will see more than $748 million in federal funding this year as the Government of Canada delivers major support for local infrastructure projects through the Canada Community-Building Fund. The investment, announced in partnership with the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, will help communities grow stronger, safer, and more connected.
Funding will go toward public transit, water systems, local roads, bridges, and recreational facilities—key projects needed to support housing growth.
In rural Ontario, funding will also improve roads in unincorporated areas, supporting safe travel. Officials say the program gives communities flexibility to address current needs while planning future growth.
Locally, Norfolk County has a scheduled allocation of $4,437,838.54, and Haldimand County is scheduled for $3,223,660.37.
