The uplifting “Live Like Luke” celebration in Port Dover took an unfortunate turn when Dan Johnson had his phone stolen after the event.
Johnson said he left the phone on a picnic table at Silver Lake Park, but when he returned later, it was gone.
The case was later found discarded in the woods, raising concerns the thief may have believed it contained a tracking device.
The community, which had just gathered to celebrate a successful fundraiser, is now rallying to help him recover the missing device.
