The Port Dover Foundation has awarded its second annual Community Service Scholarship to Reese Sharpe, a dedicated and inspiring young leader from Port Dover.
A student at Simcoe Composite School, Reese was one of four exceptional applicants interviewed this year. The selection committee recognized her strong commitment to community, determination, empathy for others, and quick sense of humour. She will receive $2,500 to help cover her first-year tuition at the University of Guelph.
The Community Service Scholarship is awarded annually to a student who demonstrates outstanding service and leadership. Applications are open to students living in Port Dover and surrounding areas, with a yearly deadline of May 31.
Full details, including eligibility and submission guidelines, are available at www.portdoverfoundation.org. Students can also speak with their school’s student services office or email hello@portdoverfoundation.com for more information.
The Foundation congratulates Reese and all applicants as they head to university this fall.
