Dairy Queen fans in Simcoe can make a difference for local children’s healthcare this Thursday, August 14, during the 23rd annual Miracle Treat Day.
Vanessa and Matt Durham are third-generation owners of Simcoe’s Dairy Queen. Vanessa gives us a little background.
The event is part of Dairy Queen’s decades-long partnership with the Children’s Miracle Network, which has raised more than $55 million in Canada.
Vanessa and Matt Durham, third-generation owners of Simcoe’s Dairy Queen, say the cause is close to their hearts. “There are so many people in our community who have needed McMaster’s care,” said Vanessa. “We want to support any way we can.” She went on to add that last year’s event was successful.
The store will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and to add to the fun, the Simcoe Fire Department will be on-site from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a fire truck. Vanessa encourages large groups to call ahead.
Pre-orders can be made by calling 519-426-3321 or visiting the store in advance.
Popular local Blizzard flavours include Cookie Dough and Skor — but no matter which one you choose, every Blizzard sold will help fund life-changing care for children.
