Angela Hogeveen, General Manager of the Norfolk County Agricultural Society, has just been named one of the Top 10 Under 40 by the Canadian Association of Fairs and Exhibitions (CAFE) — a national honour recognizing emerging leaders across Canada’s fair and exhibition industry.
Known locally for her leadership of the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show, Hogeveen is being recognized on a national stage for her blend of corporate experience and grassroots vision, helping evolve the 185-year-old organization into a modern, year-round community hub.
A native of Norfolk County, Hogeveen returned home in 2022 to take on the role of General Manager at NCAS after building an impressive career in motorsports event management.
She previously served as Director of Marketing and Communications at Green Savoree Racing Promotions, where she led marketing strategies for high-profile events like the Honda Indy Toronto and the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
Her background in sponsorship, logistics, and public engagement helped her seamlessly transition into her leadership role at the fairgrounds in Simcoe.
Since taking the reins, Hogeveen has focused on expanding the fairgrounds’ role beyond its iconic fall event, placing a strong emphasis on agricultural education, strategic partnerships, and community programming throughout the year.
Under her leadership, the Norfolk County Fairgrounds have become a more active and welcoming space, with new events, increased accessibility, and a future-focused approach that still honours the rich heritage of agriculture in the region.
The Top 10 Under 40 program celebrates innovation, vision, and dedication among Canada’s next generation of fair leaders, and Hogeveen’s recognition reflects her efforts to modernize the industry while remaining rooted in community values.
