A 27-year-old Brantford man has been charged with second-degree murder.
It follows a fatal stabbing early Saturday morning near Colborne and Clarence Streets.
The victim died in hospital despite lifesaving efforts – the suspect was arrested nearby hours later.
He faces murder and probation breach charges and was held for a bail hearing.
