A 35-year-old man from Norfolk County is facing multiple charges after a late-night incident involving stunt driving in downtown Aylmer.
According to Aylmer Police, the incident occurred just after midnight on July 25th, when an officer on patrol near Talbot and John Streets observed a Nissan 370Z squealing its tires and performing a burnout. The driver reportedly entered the intersection and repeated the maneuver a second time.
Police say the vehicle failed to stop when signaled by the officer and continued driving for approximately one kilometer before eventually pulling over.
The driver has been charged with performing a stunt, driving while under suspension, operating a vehicle without insurance, and failing to produce a permit. His vehicle has been impounded for 14 days.
The man is scheduled to appear in court in September to answer to the charges.
