Jared Fick, a 21-year-old from Bill’s Corners, is pushing his limits with the “75 Hard” challenge—a demanding mental and physical transformation program created by Andy Frisella.
For 75 consecutive days, Jared commits to two 45-minute workouts (one outdoors), a gallon of water, 10 pages of nonfiction reading, and a strict no-junk, no-alcohol diet. Slip up once, and he starts back at Day One. Fick told us he wanted make changes in his life becuase he felt lost.
At the time of our interview he was on Day 21 and going strong. But, the changes in his routine have not been easy. Jared said the hardest part has been scheduling everything into his day.
Additionally, he has been sharing daily updates on his Instagram account, Rewrite Me. Finding time to film, edit, and post each video adds extra stress to his already packed schedule. Jared says the daily posts help keep him accountable and hopes they will motivate others to take on their own challenges.
To test his mental grit, Jared recently ran 60 kilometres—completing 60 laps around his neighbourhood. What began as a solo effort quickly became a community moment. Neighbours came out to cheer him on, track his progress lap by lap, and some even joined him for a few laps, offering encouragement and support.
Jared said he didn’t plan for the run to become so public, but it turned into a community moment—and he was deeply appreciative of the support. Reflecting on what it felt like to set such a big goal and complete it, Jared said he struggled to be proud of his achievement.
The challenge is personal. Jared says he once struggled with laziness and lack of direction. Now, he’s focused on showing others that self-discipline can lead to real transformation. He works full-time at Meadow Lynn Strawberry Farm, often using his bike commute as his outdoor workout.
Jared hopes to build a brand around personal growth—maybe even a podcast or motivational platform. For now, it’s one post, one workout, and one lap at a time.
