Growing Up on the Farm, a look into local agriculture fueled by KUBOTA. Today we are profiling Chary Produce and Chary Picker Country Market.
Chary Picker Country Market, part of the third-generation Chary Produce farm, has grown from a modest roadside tomato stand into a trusted destination for fresh, local food in Brant and Norfolk counties.
Jenifer Chary, who grew up in Brantford and left a teaching career to join her husband’s family farm, now runs the Country Market operation rooted in family values. She raised her children on the farm, where the next generation is already stepping into key roles. Her sons and nephews are actively involved in fieldwork, market sales, and daily operations—continuing the tradition of community-focused farming.
The market offers homegrown produce and features local goods from vendors like Devlin’s and Handful of Joy. Everything is sourced from Brant and Norfolk, with an emphasis on quality, transparency, and education.
Known for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere, Chary Picker Country Market has become more than a place to shop—it’s a place where customers become part of the extended farm family.
