Canada Post workers have begun voting on a new contract offer after more than 18 months of negotiations.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers is recommending members reject the deal, which includes a 13% wage increase over four years.
The proposal also includes more part-time workers-something the union strongly opposes.
The vote follows a request from the federal labour minister for the industrial relations board to intervene.
