Norfolk County is set to welcome a new summer tradition as the First Annual Norfolk County Ribfest launches this weekend.
It runs from July 18 to 20 at the Fairgrounds.
The event brings together local organizers, including Sunrise Rotary and the Simcoe Fairgrounds team, to create a weekend centered on food, music, and community support.
Ribfest will feature a full lineup of barbecue vendors offering classic fare such as ribs, brisket, and pulled pork, along with a selection of sides and refreshments. The event is designed to highlight Norfolk County’s food scene while supporting Sunrise Rotary’s community initiatives through proceeds and donations collected during the weekend.
In addition to food, Ribfest will include live music from local and regional bands throughout the weekend, offering continuous entertainment for visitors. A licensed area will be available with cold drinks, and family-friendly activities are planned to make the event accessible to all ages.
The Ribfest is more than just a food event—it aims to build community, support local causes, and provide a new annual gathering spot for residents and visitors alike. Entry is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend and take part in the first year of what is intended to become a lasting Norfolk County tradition.
