The Norfolk Pro Rodeo is back and bigger than ever for its eighth year, offering a weekend packed with heart-pounding rodeo action, live music, and family-friendly entertainment. Set on a real working farm, the event has grown steadily since its launch. Organizer Krista Timmermans told us how they’re expanding this year due to high demand.
Timmermans says community support is a big reason for the event’s success.
You can catch classic events like bull riding, bronc riding, barrel racing, pole bending, and roping-all part of the Rawhide Rodeo tour. Competitors earn points toward the international finals in Oklahoma. But the excitement doesn’t stop in the ring.
Both concerts are included with admission. Visitors can also enjoy over 10 food trucks, a variety of western wear and artisan vendors, and a kid zone packed with inflatables, corn bins, and Kubota machinery. Crowd favourites like the kids’ rodeo and halftime arena games are returning too.
The Norfolk Pro Rodeo is happening July 18 -20, blending rodeo tradition with modern fun, giving local families a reason to put on their cowboy hats and enjoy a day outdoors. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning fan, expect surprises, thrills, and a whole lot of country charm.
