A $377,350 grant from the Ron and Nancy Clark Foundation is helping West Haldimand General Hospital (WHGH) improve care across all departments and for every patient.
The transformational donation — one of the largest in WHGH’s history — will fund new medical equipment, smarter diagnostic tools, and upgrades to enhance comfort and accessibility throughout the hospital.
“This grant touches every part of our hospital,” said Lisa Hostein, Executive Director of the WHGH Foundation. “It means safer care for patients, better tools for staff, and a more welcoming environment for families. We’re so grateful for this incredible support.”
Three key areas will benefit:
- Essential Equipment: New hospital beds, stretchers, patient monitors, and a point-of-care system to improve response times and communication among care teams.
- Smarter Diagnostics: Updated tools like a slit lamp for eye exams, a high-resolution PACS monitor, upgraded endoscopy equipment, and a secure HL7 interface for sharing patient data.
- Comfort and Accessibility: New mattresses, bariatric chairs, overbed tables, four patient lifts, and comfortable waiting room seating for families and visitors.
This gift ensures WHGH continues to provide high-quality care close to home.
