Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for parts of southern Ontario this weekend.
Daytime highs on Saturday and Sunday are expected to reach between 31°C and 33°C, with humidex values making it feel closer to 40°C. Overnight temperatures will remain high, ranging from 21°C to 25°C, offering little relief. The heat is expected to break Sunday night.
Residents are urged to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight, and plan outdoor activities during cooler hours. This marks the second heat warning of the summer. A previous extreme heat event on June 22–23 shattered temperature records across the province.
