Brantford Police have released more details about the July 1 arrest that triggered a Special Investigations Unit probe.
Officers responded to reports of a man with a knife at a gas station on Henry Street and say the suspect refused to comply.
A 41-year-old Brantford man was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and three counts of assault with a weapon.
No injuries to the public or officers were reported, and the SIU is now investigating the interaction.
