Ontario is investing $125 million to expand orthopedic surgeries through community surgical centres.
The province hopes to add up to 20,000 additional hip and knee replacements over the next two years.
Health Minister Sylvia Jones says the expansion is aimed at reducing long surgery wait times.
Applications for new surgical centre licences are now open for 2026.
