Canada Day is coming up fast, and the Port Dover Lions Club is making sure every ‘t’ is crossed and every ‘i’ dotted for an unforgettable celebration.
Alan Strang spoke with us about what it means for Port Dover to be Norfolk’s go-to spot for July 1st celebrations.
While the full schedule can be found below, many families already have their favourites marked.
The Soap Box Derby and Dog Show draw a large crowd every year.
But like always, the biggest draw will be the long-standing Calithumpian Parade.
The fun doesn’t end with the parade — it stretches throughout the afternoon and evening.
At Silver Lake Park, music begins at 7 p.m., followed by the spectacular fireworks display at 10 p.m.
Admission buttons for the fireworks are $3 each or $5 for two.
This year’s button features the gazebo in Powell Park.
