The Norfolk General Hospital Foundation is celebrating a record-breaking Annual Golf Tournament, which brought together golfers, volunteers, sponsors, and donors for a beautiful day at The Greens at Renton.
The annual fundraiser is one of the Foundation’s most popular community events, supporting vital medical equipment and services for Norfolk General Hospital.
This year’s tournament was presented by Toyotetsu Canada Inc. (TTCA), with dozens of teams hitting the links for a day of camaraderie and charitable giving.
The focus of the fundraiser was to raise money for a state‑of‑the‑art portable X‑ray machine, an essential piece of equipment that will allow the hospital to provide more timely and accurate diagnostic services for patients across Norfolk County.
In a gesture that spoke volumes about the strength of the Norfolk community, staff at The Greens at Renton tore up the venue’s rental bill, making the space a direct contribution to the Foundation’s efforts.
The tournament featured a full day of golf, delicious meals, raffles, and a chance for participants to connect and build relationships with other donors and businesses in the area. Rogers emphasized the impact that every dollar, every swing, and every volunteer hour will have for the hospital and the patients it serves.
With strong support from presenting sponsor TTCA, alongside countless local businesses and volunteers, the NGH Foundation is closer than ever to achieving its goal of purchasing the new portable X‑ray machine.
Organizers say the “swinging success” of the event will have a lasting impact on patient care and the health of the Norfolk County community for years to come.
