The Woodland Cultural Centre is proud to celebrate 50 years of Indigenous artistic excellence with Indigenous Art 2025: 50th Annual Juried Exhibition. The landmark event takes place today, June 20, from 5:30 to 9:00 PM at 184 Mohawk Street, Brantford.
This special evening will feature a Director’s Preview, opening remarks, awards, and performances. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour led by Guest Curator Alex Jacobs-Blum and Artistic Director Jake Jamieson. A highlight of the evening is a performance by the Six Nations Women’s Singers.
The exhibition, Canada’s longest-running annual multimedia Indigenous art show, honours the legacy of Indigenous artists and leaders, including Patricia Deadman and Thomas V. Hill. Awards include the Patricia Deadman Emerging Artist Award and the Thomas V. Hill Legacy Award.
The exhibition will run from June 21 to September 30, 2025, showcasing works by Indigenous artists from across Turtle Island. All are welcome to celebrate this milestone in Indigenous arts and culture.
