Norfolk County’s CAO took time at council chambers on Thursday to try and clear the air.
After receiving a deputation from John Vallee, making suggestions to make the Port Dover marina more viable, council was set to jump into a report looking at all the marinas in Norfolk County but the Chair was asked to pause.
Al Meneses wanted to take a moment to speak.
The Chief Administrative Officer with the county didn’t name anyone directly, but noted it’s an ongoing issue the county has to face.
One of the recent flair ups online was regarding Vallee’s deputation, as he is sometimes brought in with the county to consult on issues.
The rumours began to swirl on his intentions and who he was representing.
There was also online chatter regarding Vittoria Old Town Hall as well.
He concluded hoping that residents will look at facts over fiction and do their research before just believing a random post online.
Council would receive the report, and vote on making some improvements and changes at the marinas.
