One of Norfolk County’s most iconic landmarks is being honoured today with a special centennial re-dedication.
The Norfolk War Memorial Carillon Tower in Simcoe was first unveiled exactly 100 years ago, on June 17, 1925, to honour local lives lost in World War I.
Today’s ceremony includes a parade, Colour Parties, youth performances, and a special musical reading of the original dedication speech.
Descendants of Silver Cross Mothers will lay wreaths as the tower’s historic bells ring out once again.
The ceremony takes place at 1 p.m.
