St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in downtown Simcoe has received $18,200 for its Front Door Ministry, a vital outreach that supports vulnerable members of the community.
The donation was awarded during the May gathering of a 100 Women Who Care, where three charities presented their missions.
Mary McKenzie presented the case for Front Door Ministry, which offers grocery gift cards, food bags, warm clothing, and referrals to those struggling with poverty, addiction, and homelessness.
The donation will help sustain the program for nearly a year.
Other presenters included Norfolk Community Foundation, sponsored by Natalie McConnell, and Rags to Riches Cat Rescue, nominated by Sheila Dertinger.
