The Weather Network says much of Canada can expect a hot, sunny summer-but with a warning.
Meteorologist Doug Gillham says the heat could bring drought, wildfires, and strong storms.
Ontario and Quebec are in for a particularly warm and humid season.
With that, MBC recently spoke with Dr. Linna Li who shared information about how to stay safe during storms, floods, smog, and power outages.
Dr. Li says we should have 72 hour emergency kits at the ready for yourself, and also your furry friends as well.
She suggests we do the same for ourselves and make sure we include things like medications, and cash in case electronic banking systems go down.
