How far do you think you could run? Around the block? To the next town over? Maybe to Hamilton? How about across the entire province—covering over 700 kilometres of land?
Meet three inspiring friends from Norfolk County: Isaac Bracewell, Daniel Peters, and Allan D’Elissio. This determined trio has committed to running from Sarnia, Ontario, all the way to the Quebec border, passing through Ottawa. Their seven-day journey begins on June 1st, and they’ve made it clear: this isn’t about personal achievement or friendly competition.
They’re doing it for a cause much closer to their hearts.
Isaac, Daniel, and Allan are running in support of their close friend Andrew Eastman, who is currently battling brain cancer. With Andrew and the entire Eastman family top of mind, the three have launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise money and give Andrew a meaningful gift—something that brings comfort, joy, and a reminder that he’s not alone during this incredibly difficult time.
They’ve considered the physical toll that running over 700 km will take on their bodies, but they believe it pales in comparison to the battle Andrew faces each day while undergoing treatment.
As they shared on their fundraiser page: “This journey is for Andrew. It’s our way of showing him and his family that they’re not alone.”
The team is hoping to raise not only funds but awareness for the challenges faced by those living with brain cancer. They are encouraging donations of any amount and are asking the community to share the campaign widely to help spread the word across Norfolk County and beyond.
The fundraiser, titled “700KM for Andrew Eastman,” is now live on GoFundMe. All proceeds will go directly toward supporting Andrew and making a lasting impact on his life. Watch for What’s Good Norfolk next week as we interview the runners.
