Evergreen Heights Child Care Centre is opening its doors to the community for a free parent workshop that offers valuable tools and insights into sensory processing and emotional regulation for children.
The event is in partnership with Collaborative Approach Therapy Services (CATS) Simcoe, led by Sue Wahl, Occupational Therapist, and Taylor Booker, OT Assistant.
That was Daycare Director Savannah LeBlanc.
She said the idea for a workshop around sensory processing stemmed from another workshop that staff at the daycare recently attended.
LeBlanc said they have opened this event up to the public, free of charge, because they feel this is important information that anyone could benefit from and it aligned with Evergreen Height’s core mission.
This in-person event will take place at Evergreen Heights, located at 140 Oak Street in Simcoe, across from Holy Trinity Catholic High School on Tuesday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m.
There will also be a dedicated Q&A session with Sue and Taylor, providing the opportunity to ask questions and get expert guidance tailored to your needs.
LeBlanc stressed this event is for everyone, whether it’s educators, parents, or grandparents, who look after children of all ages and abilities.
RSVPs are encouraged to help organizers prepare, though walk-ins are absolutely welcome.
