While it wasn’t a win for Colin Walsh, the local Liberals did better this year than the previous election.
Walsh spoke at the Liberal headquarters in Simcoe last night after the results came in, noting that while it was a disappointing loss in Haldimand-Norfolk for him, he took some solace in the fact that the country as a whole was staying with the party.
Walsh reflected back at his campaign, proud of what the local Liberals accomplished.
Walsh added that this campaign showed there was an appetite in the riding for something new, and that this is just the beginning.
Walsh added he plans on putting his name back in the race at the next election.
