A familiar name for Haldimand-Norfolk has flipped the riding of Kitchener South-Hespeler.
Former Medical Officer of Health Dr. Matt Strauss squeaked out a narrow win over the Liberal incumbent Valerie Bradford.
Strauss got 48.1 percent of the vote compared to Bradford’s 46.1 percent.
Strauss was brought in as Haldimand-Norfolk’s medical officer of health during the pandemic in September of 2021 and served in the role until April of 2023.
