On Friday April 25th, 98.9 myFM and Oldies 99.7 broadcast a candidate profile of Conservative candidate Leslyn Lewis which contained an error. This story was also posted online on Norfolktoday.ca.
In the story, we said we reached out to the campaign but did not receive a response. While we did connect with the campaign by phone, we also sent an email as we were instructed to do during the phone conversation. Unfortunately, there was a typo in the email address of the recipient and this email was never received. This was our error.
This was brought to our attention over the weekend by the Leslyn Lewis campaign and we’ve taken immediate steps to rectify this issue. The original story has been removed and this retraction is being both broadcast and published online.
We have also offered the campaign the opportunity to provide responses to our list of questions we’ve asked each candidate and are anticipating a response this evening and will broadcast Sunday.
