
A Norfolk County resident is facing charges following an intimate partner violence investigation that uncovered property damage and improper firearm storage.
At approximately 1:37 a.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a reported mischief incident at a local residence. Upon arrival, officers found that an interaction between two individuals inside the home had resulted in damage to the property.
During the investigation, officers also discovered that a firearm inside the residence had been improperly stored. As a result, one person was taken into custody without incident.
A 39-year-old from Norfolk County is now facing two charges:

Mischief – destroys or damages property

Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details about the individuals involved have been released to protect the integrity of the case.
