The traffic light at Queensway and Queen Street in Simcoe is back in service after an extended outage caused by an underground wiring problem.
The lights started flashing red on Wednesday (March 5th) and repairs were completed on Monday (March 10th).
The fault was due to water-filled conduits caused by rain and thawing ground.
Efforts to drain the water failed because the conduit was broken.
Staff monitored the issue over the weekend, but when water did not recede, they re-wired part of the system to fix the light.
