Norfolk Little People’s Daycare in Langton received $18,500 from 100 Women Who Care Norfolk during the group’s November 2024 meeting. Chandice Vanhie presented on behalf of the daycare, which edged out Waterford SkatePark and HN Women’s Services for the funding.
The licensed daycare serves 56 preschoolers and runs before and after-school programs, with nearly 150 children on the waitlist. The donation will fund key upgrades, including a security system, a buzz-in entry system, accessibility improvements, and large awnings at entry doors.
These updates will enhance safety and accessibility for children, parents, and staff.
Since 2014, 100 Women Who Care Norfolk has donated over $670,000 to 42 local charities. The group has more than 180 members. For more information, visit 100womenwhocarenorfolk.ca.
