Police say an impaired driver left the roadway in Hagersville and is now facing multiple charges.
On Sunday afternoon, officers were called out to the crash on Haldimand Road 9 where they say and it became apparent that the driver had consumed alcohol and took the 25-year-old Selkirk resident into custody.
They have been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Firearm
- Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammo
- Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Driver Fail to Surrender Licence
