
A 35-year-old Norfolk County man has been charged following a drug trafficking investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand/Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).
On September 16th, officers arrested the man on Highway 3 in Simcoe, after finding enough evidence to link him to drug trafficking. During the arrest, police seized Canadian and American currency.
Later that day, around 12:52 p.m., the OPP, supported by the West Region Canine Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Oakwood Avenue in Simcoe. Officers discovered and seized suspected cocaine, methyl​enedioxy ​methamphetamine (MDMA), Canadian currency, drug paraphernalia, and a prohibited weapon.
Justin Haskett of Norfolk County has been charged with possession of drugs for trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and unauthorized possession of a weapon. He remains in custody, awaiting a bail hearing. The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected.
