Yesterday, N-D-P Leader Jagmeet Singh broke the parties supply and confidence agreement with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the federal Liberals.
The 2022 agreement has helped prop up Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government and could trigger an early election.
Singh posted a video online yesterday, stating the NDP no longer can trust the Liberals and that they are the only party left to defeat the Conservatives when the next election happens.
Singh’s full comments can be seen here.
Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre took aim at Singh in his response, frequently calling him “Sellout Singh” for the long relationship the party had with the Liberals and called his latest move a “stunt.”
His full comments can be seen here.
Prime Minster Justin Trudeau says Singh is playing politics instead of focusing on delivering for Canadians, saying until an election is called he will continue to do what he can to help the many struggling people across the country.
He gave the comments yesterday while taking questions from the media at an event in Newfoundland – that can be seen here later on in the video.
