Enbridge Gas crews are going door to door in Simcoe turning gas back on.
On Monday, a construction crew damaged a low-pressure gas main while doing road work knocking off gas for approximately 650 customers, both residential and small commercial.
The pipeline has since been repaired and Enbridge Gas crews and a Lakeside contractor are going door-to-door to turn off gas at the meters, allowing us to safely reintroduce gas to the system.
They are continuing to complete equipment safety checks and relight customers.
Enbridge expects most customers to have gas service restored by August 14.
