Simcoe ranked number two on Zolo’s top 10, Best Places to Live in Canada for 2024.
Zolo is a digital-first real estate company, with millions of users visiting the site each month. In a recent blog post, they ranked the top 10 livable cities in Canada. Simcoe finished 2nd and Tillsonburg 8th in their findings.
To determine the most livable cities in Canada, Zolo ranked regions according to the following factors:
- Home price
- Household income
- Population growth
- Unemployment rate
- Crime rates
- Access to a primary healthcare provider
- Sunny days per year
- Walkability
Their research said that the Simcoe area, boasted higher-than-average household incomes and lower-than-average unemployment rates. They also noted that Simcoe is less densely populated, perfect for those looking for more space. Tillsonburg also finished in the top ten and Zolo noted that it’s small-town charm and its commuting distance to a larger city like London makes it very appealing.
