Bringing out those bikes one last time.
This Sunday, the 16th and final Le Tour De Norfolk takes place, showcasing Norfolk’s splendor to cyclists near and far.
Organizer Yvette Mahieu told us it seemed like yesterday that the seed that would blossom into the event was planted.
If you’ve never attended before, but are interested in being part of this farewell tour, she tells what what the event ISN’T.
When you show up to the Delhi German Home, registration starting at 7 a.m., you have three different routes to choose from making it accessible to people of all skill level.
One thing unique about this event is that it is known to draw people from well outside of Norfolk in, with over 80 percent of riders not living in the area.
With the tour, they also have multiple stops for cyclists, hoping to show people why Norfolk is the ideal place to visit.
Pre-pandemic, it was a smooth road to success for Le Tour De Norfolk, but with a lot of event, COVID-19 took it’s toll.
For Mahieu, she has mixed feelings about saying goodbye to an event she brought to life many years ago.
