An all way stop is coming in front of the library, near the Food Basics parking lot.
As part of the reconstruction process, staff recommended the all way stop at intersection of West and Talbot.
It notes in the report that many visitors to the County Administration Building and the Simcoe branch of the Norfolk Library cross Talbot Street at West Street daily and this all way stop would improve pedestrian safety.
Additionally, staff recommend that the northbound stop control on Talbot Street at Court Street be removed.
It notes the unorthodox situation for pedestrians with this current set up, as the southbound movement on Talbot at Count remains a free-flow condition under this arrangement.
