Another Minister visit to Norfolk – another snub for Haldimand-Norfolk’s MPP?
This week, the Minister of Transportation made a visit to Delhi to look at a project that Bobbi Ann Brady says she has long advocated for – but she wasn’t given an invite.
The previous two times Brady is speaking about include a Minister visiting in January about abandoned gas wells and a recent Minister visit to Port Dover and then Simcoe that looked at water concerns.
Originally, Brady was invited to a meeting this week with county staff, other local politicians, and a representative from the Ministry of Transportation to talk about the proposed development in Delhi but was told by county staff that this meeting had been changed and that it would just be a staff meeting and no elected officials.
It wasn’t until later that night when Brady was tagged in a post that she realized someone representing the Progressive Conservative government was in her own backyard.
These snubs and the ongoing drama in Haldimand have led Brady to conclude one thing.
Brady doesn’t anticipate this ending any time soon.
She feels there is a clear plan in place by the Ford government.
Brady says while disappointing, she won’t stop fighting – though she knows it will be a rough time until the next election.
