In honour of the nearly 11,000 dedicated paramedics across the province, Ontario is celebrating Paramedic Services Week running through May 25th.
The theme for this year is “Help Us, Help You,” which looks to ensure that every shift worked is a safe shift. It’s an opportunity to highlight the many ways that paramedic services help people, from the provision of emergency care for those critically ill and injured to the more contemporary role of paramedic services as part of a greater health system.
Throughout the week, the Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs and local paramedic services will raise awareness and open conversations to better support both the people in our communities and the paramedics serving them.
