Isaac Bracewell (left) and Daniel Peters (right) running for charity
If someone dared you to run to Niagara Falls, would you do it? Two teens from Simcoe, Isaac Bracewell and Daniel Peters did just that.
Audio PlayerThose previous runs were just to prove that they could in fact do it, and to test themselves. Now they’ve taken it a step further. On June 1st, Bracewell and Peters will run from Simcoe to Toronto. This time its not for a dare, they will be raising money for The War Amps. The total distance for this run will be 130 kilometers, which qualifies it as an ultramarathon. The idea of running a regular marathon is daunting for many people. Bracewell was not intimidated by the distance at all.
Audio PlayerFor their previous runs the boys did very little training at all. They weren’t even track runners at their school and have only recently joined the track team. However, this time around they are preparing themselves a little more.
Audio PlayerThe teens’ route will take them from Simcoe to Hamilton, and then along the lake to Toronto. If you’d like to support the boys and their fundraising goals for The War Amps visit: https://www.gofundme.com/f/simcoe-to-toronto-run
