A bull was on the loose in Waterford yesterday and sadly had to be put down.
That’s according to Townsend Butchers, who said they were called out to assist the OPP after the large animal left a farm property.
Their post online went on to note that two members of the public tried to gain control of the bull but ended up sustaining injuries.
Because of this, Townsend Butchers say they were asked by officers, in the interest of public safety, to put the animal down on site.
They concluded their post by asking everyone that if they see a loose animal, whether it be a horse, pig, or bull, to leave it to professionals to rescue them.
Online, the Waterford community is sad and upset at this decision, believing the bull was scared and could have been brought back home safely with professionals.
We have not received any official word from the OPP on this incident at this time.
