Toronto is getting a helping hand from Ottawa in covering the costs incurred for its part of the World Cup.
The federal government announced yesterday it will be chipping in more than 104-million dollars to help the city host six games in the event two years from now.
The Ontario government had previously said it would provide 97-million in funding contingent on matching funds from Ottawa.
The 2026 World Cup is scheduled to run June 11th to July 19th across Canada, the United States and Mexico.
