The Public Health Agency of Canada says norovirus is spreading at a higher frequency than expected, especially in Ontario and Alberta.
The highly contagious virus can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pains, cramps and diarrhea.
The agency says the number of norovirus cases reported has been higher than expected this year compared to the previous five-year historical average.
