Ontario Provincial Police say they are trying to find out who is responsible for making more than a thousand 9-1-1 calls in Norfolk Country.
It began at approximately 12:15 a.m. Monday morning, officers from the Norfolk County OPP responded to a 9-1-1 hangup call at a location on James Street in Delhi.
Officers were unable to locate the caller, but for the next nine hours, approximately 1,150 similar 9-1-1 calls were placed to the OPP.
Police say no emergency situations were reported or observed in connection with these calls.
Members of the Norfolk County OPP Detachment are actively conducting an ongoing investigation and are appealing to the public for assistance.
