You won’t have a job next election.
Those were the words shot from the Premier to Haldimand Norfolk MPP Bobbi Ann Brady on Wednesday after she questioned him on the carbon tax – wanting to know what the government is actually doing to address it instead of just using the word whenever they can.
She compared the government using the word as sort of scapegoat or a publicity stunt.
We spoke with Brady about this incident, which did cause ripples at Queen’s Park.
Brady said this kind of behaviour should not be tolerated and it’s actually part of a deeper issue they are facing.
One good thing to come from this, according to Brady, is that she has been hearing a lot of positive feedback from fellow MPP’s.
Ford’s response to the question was heated, with the jab at the end seemingly coming out of left field.
Brady believes the fact the PC’s lost Haldimand-Norfolk in the previous election still lingers in the Premier’s head.
She added that, after hearing that statement, she has to be prepared for the next elections because Ford made his intentions clear.
