Following a failed attempt to bring a dog park to Delhi, Brent Stefan of the Kin Club returned to Council-in-Committee to place a new plan before council.
The community had previously been unhappy with the arena as the chosen location for the dog park. The concerns were noise and parking related. Not to be deterred though the Kin Club continued their search.
The new location is a parcel of land just South of Argyle Street in Delhi. It’s an overgrown lot, in an industrial area, behind the County’s watering station. This would also place the new dog park adjacent to a proposed new walking trail.
Stefan feels this is a better location than the previously proposed one, and has potential for future projects.
County Staff added that they had no concerns regarding the water filling station being at the front of the property and felt it was a good news story for the Kin Club.
