Crowds gathered around Norfolk County yesterday for the total solar eclipse.
myFM was live on location for a special viewing at Long Point Eco Adventures.
That was General Manager Chloe chatting with us during the successful event.
While backyards and parks were packed, our local lakeside communities drew in crowds from far and wide.
Ray Ferris chatted with us about the big crowds who flocked to Long Point as his businesses, the Chip Ship, was slinging out food to the big crowd.
Ferris also echoed what we heard from many listeners – that if you needed to travel following the eclipse then you had to make sure you packed your patience with you.
We spoke to people in the community about the event as well.
From the kids who had the day off from school to take in this cool life experience, to those awe struck adults, everyone was amazed.
Below is some photo highlights from around Norfolk County.

Our friends over at RoseLe Studios once again provided some amazing drone photos from Turkey Point and Port Dover showing the crowds.
Our own Jeremy Hall was at Long Point Eco Adventures for this special viewing of the event.
And as an update to a story we brought you recently about Port Dover’s own Rory Dodd, the male voice in the duet Total Eclipse Of The Heart, he did have his Eclipse Birthday party yesterday with the love of his life saying it was a blast.
