
Three individuals were charged following an investigation into drug trafficking and the execution of a search warrant at a residence by the OPP Haldimand/Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).
Last Thursday the CSCU conducted a vehicle stop and investigation at a location on Nelson Street West in Port Dover. During the interaction, officers had sufficient grounds to arrest the occupants for drug-related offences.
As a result, both the driver and the sole passenger were taken into custody without incident. A search of the occupants and the vehicle led to the discovery of suspected cocaine and methamphetamine.
Charged with the following alleged offences is 42-year-old Norfolk County man.
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine (two counts),
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine,
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin),
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs,
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon,
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Charged with the following alleged offences is 53-year-old Norfolk County Man.
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine,
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine.
The CSCU then executed a search warrant at a residence on St. Andrew Street in Port Dover.
During the search, officers discovered and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, hydromorphone, and Adderall, along with a prohibited weapon, Canadian currency, and drug paraphernalia.
As a result, one individual was taken into custody without incident.
Charged with the following alleged offences is 31-year-old Norfolk County woman.
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine (two counts),
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine,
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon,
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose,
- Failure to comply with Release Order – other than to attend court.
All three accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Simcoe on a later date.
