Just about everyone’s trying to save a buck these days and many of us are concerned about the environment.
A new store in Simcoe hits in both of those categories.
The new Thrift Bank is located in the building that used to house the Salvation Army thrift store.
Owner Gabby Chavez grew up in a thrifting household and got hooked.
Chavez says during the grand opening recently, some of those Salvation Army folks came back.
Chavez says they have a bit more of a boutique type image.
Chavez asks that people make an appointment to donate…and you could even make some money off items when they’re sold.
Current store hours are Wednesday-Friday 11am-5pm and Saturday 10am-5pm but Chavez says as the weather warms up, they hope to get up to 6 or 7 days a week.
